Order of Elders & Order of Deacons Plan Day Apart

The Order of Elders will be gathering on Thursday, September 27, at Broad St. UMC in Weston, WV. We will begin with a gathering time at 9:30 a.m., followed by Worship where we will welcome, and celebrate, our newly ordained elders! Worship will be led by our Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball who will bring the message, and be our Celebrant for Holy Communion.
At the same time, the Order of Deacons will gather at St Matthew United Methodist Church, in the morning before lunch.
We will meet together at 11:30 a.m. at Broad Street United Methodist Church. The Bishop and Bonnie MacDonald share during the lunch ways Elders and Deacons can do ministry together more effectively. After lunch, the Elders gathering will continue with an opportunity to plant spiritual “Seeds of Hope”, the educational component of our time together while Bishop Steiner Ball meets with the Order of Deacons at St Matthew.
Come and learn more about healing, wholeness, healthy eating, having fun, fitness, sabbath keeping, forgiveness, and being a part of a “connection group”. We will be wrapping up by 4 p.m. Please save the date and we hope to see you there!
