“Praise the Lord. Praise God in His Sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty Heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with timbrel and dancing, praise Him with the strings and pipe, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”
– Psalm 150:1-6
On Sunday mornings, we often find ourselves singing the doxology, which says to us “Praise God from whom all blessings flow…praise Him, all creatures here below…praise Him above ye Heavenly Host…praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost….Amen.” I want to give God praise today, not for anything that I have done or received, but simply because God is worthy of ALL my praise! I am grateful for the provisions God has blessed my family and I with. I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given to serve Him in various capacities. I am humbled that God would choose to use me in some of the ways I am blessed to serve. I praise God when there are times of celebration, but also when there is hurt and heartbreak. It’s during those times that I may not always understand why one has to hurt, but God remains worthy of my praise. God is steadfast in His ways and ever-present in our lives. I am thankful for who God is in the lives of His people. As we embark on the various ministry opportunities we’ve been given to serve in our local congregations, I pray that God’s blessings will rest upon you. May the process and outcome of ministry bring praise to the Lord. May God bless you!
In Christ,
Scott
