Written by Rev. Jonathan Dierdorf (Rainelle & Bascom UMCs, Greenbrier District) with weekly reflections from WVUMC Director of Discipleship, Leadership and Congregational Vitality Ken Willard, “Seeds of Hope: Where Faithfulness Grows” is a 6-week study which includes scripture, commentary, stories, and personal witness to help spark conversations and encourage growth in discipleship. Copies are available in the district office for you to use in your small groups, Bible studies, personal devotions, etc.

Our Conference Office of Connectional Ministries has produced a new FREE 6-week study for use by our churches in Bible studies, small groups, etc., during Lent and beyond. Our DS is receiving the first batch of booklets during this week’s Cabinet meetings and will then distribute the books to your Parish Coordinator (if you are uncertain as to who your Parish Coordinator may be-click on this link: https://phdumc.org/district-directory/ scroll down to 2019 Parish Coordinator) -please contact them to find out when and how to pick them up in the coming two weeks. For those who may not yet have the booklets,  we also hope to distribute them at district clergy meetings and other activities & events.
The booklet is posted on the Conference website for those who wish to download it in electronic (PDF) format. You can use this link to the download the booklet: https://www.wvumc.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/WVUMC_2019_Lent_Study_WEB.pdf
